Daschle gives Lott a pass

Daschle says:

There are a lot of times when he and I go to the microphone and would like to say things we meant to say differently, and I'm sure this was one of those cases for him, as well.
Only difference is, had Daschle embraced the policies of the WWII-era communist party, neither Lott, nor the GOP, nor the Mighty Wurlitzer would've given Daschle a pass.

That's the difference between Democrats and Republicans.

Between winners and losers.
