Cattle Call Plus

Billmon

Somebody asked for a Cattle Call yesterday. Now I'm not really following the Dem pre-pre-primary manuevering very closely, so I'm not the best guy for this. I mean, you really do need a scorecard to keep track of the players.

So what I'm going to propose is a little different. Everyone who wants to should come up with their OWN cattle call list, but instead of just giving each candidate or potential candidate a thumbs up or thumbs down, rank them in the order of who you think had the best week.

So if you think Daschle's fast fade gave Gephardt a big boost (just a hypothetical example) and you think that's the best thing to happen to any of the candidates this past week, then give Gephardt a 1. Then give a 2 to the candidate who you think had the second-best thing happen to him/her, a 3 to the third-best, and so on.

If I get a halfway decent response, then later in the week, I'll tabulate the average scores, and show how the candidates ranked overall (Hell, I'll even do the median scores, just so nobody thinks I'm trying to pull a stupid Bush trick.)

OK. Ready, set ... go.
