Kucinich to enter the race

Kucinich will run for president. Practical effects? Who knows. He's a congressman with little national exposure. But he will be staking his candidacy on being an anti-war candidate, which may split support from Dean.

Kucinich is also a favorite of Ralph Nader, which might help him attract progressive votes and could help bring Greens back into the Democratic Party fold. Then again, those voters could just be embittered again if (when) Kuchinich gets his ass kicked in the primaries.

But I suspect Kuchinich won't make it that far. He'll use his candidacy as a way to move the field to the left and further air his anti-war views. And that's perfectly cool with me.
