Q2 numbers, Dean weighs in

There are still a few days left in Q2, but Dean is flexing his muscles early -- posting his current tally as of Saturday morning -- a shade over $6 million. This should put him well within the pack for the quarter, if not in the top three.

While we are all eager to see every candidate's numbers, no single number has greater implications for the moment than Lieberman's. If he comes in at the tail end of the pack, it will inflict serious wounds on his candidacy. Rumors have abounded all quarter about Lieberman's fundraising problems. They may prove accurate, or they could be clever leaks by Lieberman's campaign to "lower expectations". We'll find out soon enough.
