Latest Iowa poll

The latest out of Iowa, a Research 2000 poll. (June results in parenthesis.)

Dean: 25 (11)
Gephardt: 21 (27)
Kerry: 17 (14)
Undecided: 15 (29)
Lieberman: 12 (10)
Edwards: 6 (4)
Clark: 3
It's unfortunate that we don't have a previous poll to determine who's got the momentum, and who doesn't.

But this obviously good for Dean, who has a slight but statistically insignificant lead. It's great for Clark, who has more support than four of the declared candidates yet has 20 percent name ID, and it's okay for Lieberman -- putting him within striking distant of Kerry with a rare uptick in his numbers.

A poor Q3 fundraising performance would put a great deal of pressure on Lieberman to drop out. He needs to show some strength in the primary state polls to remain viable.

As for Graham, he can't continue much longer. He's the obvious frontrunner for "first candidate to drop out".
