New Missouri poll

Polling is expensive, but there's still no excuse for not seeing more polling done in the Feb 2 states -- which are almost as important (collectively) as NH and Iowa.

We've gotten just a trickle of polls out of Arizona, Delaware, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma and South Carolina. We want more!

But today we got a bone -- a new poll out of Missouri (June numbers in parenthesis):

Gephardt: 36 (45)
Dean: 22 (9)
Kerry: 14 (13)
Lieberman: 10 (11)
Undecided: 10 (15)
Edwards: 5 (3)
Clark: 2 (*)
Graham: 1 (2)
Sharpton: 0 (1)
Braun: 0 (1)
Kucinich: 0 (0)
Gep's name ID in Missouri is 95 percent. Dean's is 61 percent, and Kerry's is 62 percent.

As for a head-to-head matchup between Gep and Bush, we get this:

Bush 49 (52)
Gephardt 39 (38)
Despite those results, Gep would be far more competitive in his home state. Heck, by November 2004, all Democrats will be competitive in Missouri.
