Fog of War? Or Fog of Lies?

This is what the flacks in Qatar are saying about the Baghdad International Airport:

"Coalition forces at this point are outside of the Baghdad airport and are positioning themselves to engage that fight at a time of our choice," Captain Frank Thorp said at the Central Command advance war headquarters in Qatar.

And this is what the hacks in Kuwait are saying about Baghdad International Airport:

By Martin Walker
UPI Chief International Correspondent

The U.S. 3rd divisions multiple-launch rocket systems were firing directly into Baghdad's international airport and defensive positions in the city's western suburbs.

And this is what the reporters who are actually at the Baghdad International Airport are saying about the Baghdad International Airport:

Baghdad :: Rageh Omaar :: 1708GMT

We didn't find anything that was out of place. We didn't see tanks or indeed any evidence that there had been any fighting or British and American soldiers in the airport.

It would help if maybe they could all start talking about the same war . . .
