Dems call for Santorum to resign leadership

Following in Lott's footsteps, PA Sen. Rick Santorum, the number 3 GOPer in the Senate, treated his colleagues to a bigotry eruption, comparing homosexuality to bigamy, polygamy, incest and adultery.

Gay rights groups have come out hard against Santorum, as has Howard Dean and John Kerry. The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has now piled on, pushing for Santorum's resignation from the GOP leadership, saying the remarks were "divisive, hurtful and reckless [...] completely out of bounds for someone who is supposed to be a leader in the United States Senate."

Santorum's comments are unambiguous:

"If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual (gay) sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything," Santorum said in the interview, published Monday.
A vote for any GOP candidate is a vote for these jokers. A vote for intolerance, bigotry, homophobia, and intolerance. (In addition to massive deficits, perpetual war, joblessness, and all the other goodies we have all learned to expect and love from GOPer administrations.)
