DNC and the Bush Supreme Court agenda

I'm still of the mind that Bush won't get the chance to nominate a single Supreme Court justice. And, if they do, it'll be to replace Rehnquist. Not a lot of damage can be done there.

But the DNC (motto: "we're not the DLC") is not taking any chances.

Check out their latest Flash animation. It doesn't tiptoe around the issue. (I just wish they would've gotten a good voice impersonator for the Bush character).

While we love to bitch about the Democratic Party, it's been clear to me for a while that the DNC hasn't been the problem. It's been Democratic elected officials fearful of their own shadows.

Is the DNC blameless? Nah -- they can disastrously misread the public zeitgeist (like pushing prescription drug coverage in 2002 when the rest of the country was focused on terrorism). But they are trying to equip our elected officials with a good set of cojones.
