Cubs in first

Damn, how am I supposed to think about politics when the Cubs are locked into an unbelievably tight race for their division? Tied with the hated Astros for first, with the really hated Cards just a few games back. And only 20 games (or so) to go.

And damn my luck, but my wife will be due just weeks after the World Series, which means I can't head to Chicago if they do the unthinkable and make it to the Fall Classic.

My other team, the Oakland A's, are also doing well, but I am a Cubs fan first and foremost. Thankfully, the Bears were a horrid flop last Sunday, and the Bulls still suck. Too much success is not healthy for the true Chicago sports fan.
