PA GOP wishes it could "pull a Toricelli"

When Lautenberg replaced Toricelli in the NJ Senate ballot, many predicted an epidemic of replacement candidates across the country. That may yet happen, but the difficulty in making such a switch is illustrated in PA, where Republicans openly wish they could make a switch.

Dem gubernatorial candidate Ed Rendell leads his GOP opponent comfortably in the double digits (in the mid-teens in most legitimate polls, and 21 points in the latest CRAP Survey USA poll).
