Perhaps they've heard the expression in Vegas

Their minds made up, the UK and US are about to launch their invasion of Iraq, and the best our president can say is stupid shit like this?

We have an expression in Texas that says, 'Show your cards," Bush said. "France has shown its card. Now we have to see tomorrow what that card meant."
While many celebrate Bush's simple-minded rhetoric, I beg to differ. If Tony Blair was president of the US support for war would be in the 90s. Never underestimate the power of the president's bully pulpit, the press' timidity in times of crisis, and the American people's willingness to believe anything they hear.

The fact so many Americans continue to resist the president's call to arms is symptomatic of Bush's poor communication skills.
