Why I will never do radio or TV

I have long argued that I would be terrible on radio or television, and that my role in the political discourse is huddled over a keyboard safely behind a computer monitor.

Now I have proof. I was interviewed by Christopher Lydon, and you can listen via this MP3 file.

I drone on and on. I use a ton of "umms" and "you knows" and meander in and out, oblivious to the whole concept of "sound bites". It's horrible!

So next time you talk about me being on talk radio or on TV one day -- here's hard proof that this will never happen.
